FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Dave Robinson, 73, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Clayton Apostolic Church with the Rev. Milton Rushing and the Rev. James Cockerham officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Robinson was born on Sept. 28, 1939, in Gilbert, La. He was a resident of Ferriday, a carpenter and a member of Clayton Apostolic Church. His pleasure was working as a beekeeper.

Robinson was preceded in death by his father, Jess Lee Robinson; mother, Preeny Irene Jones Robinson; and two brothers, Larry and Mack Robinson.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lynette Robinson of Ferriday; daughter, Melana Ola and her husband, James, of Ferriday; one brother, Noah Robinson of Port Angeles, Wash.; three sisters, Doris Linder of Winnsboro, La., Ruth Kelley of Troutman, N.C., and Cathy Myers and husband, James, of Charlotte, N.C.; one special sister, Geri Duncan and her husband, Danny, of Pineville, La.; two grandsons, Jason Robinson and Zachary Ola; and one granddaughter, Dustie Ola.

Pallbearers will be Jason Robinson, Aaron Robinson, John Dobson, Danny Walston, Rodney Mason and Jamie Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Ola, David Walker, Brad Cockerham, Keith Jordan, Michael Wilkerson, Mark King and Gilford Hamilton.
