Pilgrimage Garden Club announces pageant court

NATCHEZ — The Pilgrimage Garden Club has announced the 2013 royal court for the Historic Natchez Tableaux. The pages, maids and generals in the royal court will serve the Pilgrimage Garden Club’s king and queen during their reign in the upcoming Spring Pilgrimage.

John Chesley Coffey

John Chesley Coffey is the son of Mark and Laurie Coffey. He is also the grandson of Bobby and Kay Harmon of Natchez and the late John and Patsy Coffey of Natchez.

Coffey is a 2010 Trinity Episcopal Day School graduate and is currently attending the University of Mississippi. He is majoring in hospitality management. He is a member of Kappa Sigma and kitchen manager at Old Venice Restaurant in Oxford. His hobbies include trail running, spelunking and cooking.

His past pageant participation includes Little Maypole and Big Maypole, wheel roller, flag runner, Polka and the Soiree.

 

John Griffin Dicks

John Griffin Dicks is the son of Grace Graning and the late Ian Balfour Dicks. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Graning of Jackson, the late Kelly Junkin Graning of Natchez and the late John Barber and Joan Balfour Payne Dicks.

Dicks is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and is currently attending Copiah-Lincoln Community College. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf, history, mechanics, four-wheeler riding and spending time with friends.

His past pageant participation includes Polka, Raising of the Flag, the Picnic and flag runner.

James Warren Wallace Dillon

James Warren Wallace Dillon is the son of Paul and Cyndie Dillon. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Maxie of Vidalia, the late Anabel Maxie of Natchez, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dillon of Vidalia.

Dillon is a 2010 Vidalia High School graduate and is currently attending Delta Community College in Monroe and ITT inBaton Rouge. He is pursing a degree as an electrician. He is currently a part-time employee of Dozer, L.L.C. His hobbies include tennis, fishing, four-wheeler riding, water sports and spending time with friends.

His past pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, wheel roller, Natchez Steamboat, the Picnic and Polka.

 

Stephen Paul Calvin Dillon

Stephen Paul Calvin Dillon is the son of Paul and Cyndie Dillon. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Maxie of Vidalia and the late Anabel Maxie of Natchez, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Dillon of Vidalia.

Dillon is a 2007 Vidalia High School graduate and is currently attending University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is on the president’s list at ULM and currently is a part-time employee of Davenport, Files and Kelly Law Firm of Monroe, La. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, four-wheeler riding, archery, church softball, flag football, golf and spending time with friends.

His past pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, wheel roller, Natchez Steamboat, the Picnic and Polka.

 

Richard Burnell Sharp III

Richard Burnell Sharp III is the son of Sharon Ater Sharp and the late Richard Burnell Sharp Jr. He is also the grandson of Stella Sharp and the late Richard Burnell Sharp of Natchez, Don Ater of Ferriday and Linda Sevier Mann of Covington, La.

Sharp is a 2010 Trinity Episcopal Day School graduate and is currently attending Louisiana Tech University majoring in aviation. His hobbies include playing the drums, recording music and learning to become a pilot.

His previous pageant participation includes a 1997 Page, Little and Big Maypole, fisherboy, Indian, as well as helping behind the scenes with curtains and lighting.

 

Robert Carlen Sizemore

Robert Carlen Sizemore is the son of Dr. Robert and Kathy Sizemore. He is also the grandson of Mrs. Donald Killelea and the late Dr. Donald Killelea and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Sizemore of Ashland, Ky.

Sizemore is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and attended Mississippi State University and currently attends Alcorn State University in Lorman. He is majoring in music production and performance. He was a member of the Mississippi State lacrosse team, a member of the Alcorn Jazz Ensemble and the Natchez Music Festival. He is a volunteer with Special Olympics, performed in Angels on the Bluff and Natchez Little Theater. His hobbies include lacrosse, tennis and playing the guitar.

His previous pageant participation includes the Big Maypole and Polka.

 

Alex Van Buren Strahan

Alex Van Buren Strahan is the son of Van Buren Strahan III and Sandra Malone Strahan. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Van Buren Strahan and Mr. and Mrs. William Malone all of Petal.

Strahan is a 2009 Zachary High School graduate and is attending Louisiana State University. He is majoring in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. His hobbies include sports, fishing and guns.

His previous pageant participation includes the Picnic.

 

Catherine Stewart Schmitz

Catherine Stewart Schmitz is the daughter of Hunter Spiers and Mitchell Schmitz. She is granddaughter of Barbara Nell Stewart and the late Van Stewart of Natchez and Paul and Shirley Schmitz of Water Valley.

Schmitz is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and attends Mississippi State University. She is majoring in psychology with a concentration in counseling. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, Bulldog Calling Center, Pi Phi Philanthropy fundraisers, Policy and Standards Board-Pi Phi Sorority and a MSU Foundation Ambassador. Her hobbies include going to SEC football games, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, Can-Can, Soiree, and Soiree lead her senior year.

 

Emory Caroline Smith

Emory Caroline Smith is the daughter of Sarah and Jim Smith. She is the granddaughter of J.T. Smith, Sonny and Carolyn Gwin, Webb Carter and the late Nell Smith all of Natchez.

Smith is a 2010 Trinity Episcopal Day School graduate and attends University of Mississippi. She is majoring in public policy leadership. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority where she is vice president of community service. She is also an honors college senator, a member of the Student Alumni Council, the Trent Lott Institute, and Order of Omega. Her hobbies include traveling, tennis and cheering on the Rebels.

Her previous pageant participation includes Polka and a bridesmaid in the Wedding.

 

Elizabeth Hunter Schmitz

Elizabeth Hunter Schmitz is the daughter of Hunter Spiers and Mitchell Schmitz. She is granddaughter of Barbara Nell Stewart and the late Van Stewart of Natchez and Paul and Shirley Schmitz of Water Valley.

Schmitz is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and attends University of Mississippi. She is majoring in accounting. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, Alpha Lambda Delta, Gamma Beta Phi, National Collegiate Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society and received the Chuck Caldwell Accounting Scholarship. Her hobbies include reading, watching Ole Miss sports and hanging out in the Grove.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, Raising of the Flag, a bridesmaid in the Wedding.

 

Page Alexandra Stewart

Page Alexandra Stewart is the daughter of James Stewart and the late Debra Stewart of Natchez. She is the granddaughter of Sharon Ricke and the late Arnold Ricke of Zwolle, La., and Barbara Nell Stewart and the late Van Stewart of Natchez.

Stewart is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and attends Alcorn State University. She is majoring in English Literature. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and peer ministry. Her hobbies include reading, writing, cooking and spending time with family.

Her previous pageant participation includes Big Maypole, the Picnic, dancing the Virginia Reel and Polka.

 

Brooks Elizabeth Turner

Brooks Elizabeth Turner is the daughter of Blake and Elizabeth Turner of Natchez. She is the granddaughter of Ann Burns of Natchez, Max Mullins and Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Turner of Ferriday.

Turner is a 2010 Cathedral High School graduate and attends University of Mississippi. She is majoring in exercise science. In high school, she was voted into the Hall of Fame.

She played varsity soccer where she made the all-district team four years, receiving most valuable midfielder for both all-district and Cathedral her senior year. She received an athletic scholarship to Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson for soccer and was on the vice president’s list. She attends St. Mary Basilica and works at the Ole Miss Call Center. Her hobbies include soccer, music, going to the beach, attending concerts, hanging out in the Grove during football games and spending time with family and friends.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, the Picnic, the Wedding, Can-Can, Soiree and Soiree Sweetheart.

 

Margaret Dean Williams

Margaret Dean Williams is the daughter of Christy Williams and Ken Williams. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Beaver and the late Mrs. Paulette Beaver and Mrs. Nadine Williams and the late Dr. Kenneth Williams all of Jackson.

Williams is a 2010 Trinity Episcopal Day School graduate and attends the University of Mississippi. She is majoring in pre-law/political science. She is a member of the Episcopal Church at Ole Miss, College Republicans, Ole Miss Pre-Law Society and Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez.

Her hobbies include spending time with her sisters and niece, shopping and fun with her friends, all things Ole Miss, especially the Grove for ballgames, and coming home for the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race, Natchez Historic Tableaux and holidays.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, Polka Favor Girl, Polka and Bride in the Wedding of Jefferson Davis.

 

Catherine Cameron “Cami” Willard

Catherine Cameron “Cami” Willard is the daughter of Selah and Jim Willard. She is granddaughter of Mr. James Overton, Catherine Garrity Willard, James Robert Willard, and the late Bethany Lambdin Overton and the late Waldo Putnam Lambdin all of Natchez.

Willard is a 2011 Trinity Episcopal Day School graduate and attends University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is majoring in political science and Spanish. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, pre-law society and National Society for Collegiate Scholars.

In high school, she was awarded the 2011 headmaster award of academic achievement and the president education award program for outstanding academic excellence. She is currently working for Hennan and Hennan Law Firm in Monroe, La. Her hobbies include traveling, tennis and reading.

Her previous pageant participation includes Little and Big Maypole, Polka Favor Girl and the Polka.

 

Morgan Adeline McCloud

Morgan Adeline McCloud is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tyler McCloud. She is granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lem Adams III of Natchez and Brandon and Colonel (Ret.) and Mrs. Harry McCloud of Leesville, La. She is also the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Juanita Robinson of Natchez, Mrs. Eloise Adams of Brandon and Mrs. Beulah McCloud of Leesville, La.

McCloud attends Runnels School in Baton Rouge. She served as a 2012 Mardi Gras Royal Page to King XXX Richard Byrd. She enjoys dance, music, art, going to the library and visiting Natchez.

Her past pageant participation includes the Little Maypole.

 

Ella Mamie Sandel

Ella Mamie Sandel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewie Frederick Sandel III. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Junkin and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Sandel all of Natchez.

Sandel attends kindergarten at St. Richard Catholic School in Jackson. She is active in Courthouse Gymnastics and SMSCO soccer league of Madison. She enjoys swimming, MSU football games and riding her bike.

 

Hayden Page Seal

Hayden Page Seal is the son of Matthew Harris and Valerie Ogden Seal. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Page Ogden of Natchez, Mrs. Marvin Edwin Seal and the late Mr. Marvin Edwin Seal of Hattiesburg.

Seal attends first grade at Madison Avenue Elementary School in Madison. He is active in soccer, basketball, swimming and football. He enjoys reading, math, going to the beach, spending time with friends and has recently started having sleep overs, collecting action and Lego figures. He especially likes all things related to superheroes, Star Wars, and wrestling. He also enjoys attending football games, concerts and wrestling matches.

 

Sarah Grace Stewart

Sarah Grace Stewart is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Butch Stewart III. She is granddaughter of Mrs. Van L. Stewart and the late Mr. Van L. Stewart Jr. of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Benny Porter and the late Susie Galbreath Walley of Natchez.

Stewart attends kindergarten at Cathedral Elementary School. She is a member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church. She enjoys ballet, drawing, singing, T-ball and playing with friends. Sarah Grace’s great-grandmother, Edna Blewett Parker, was one of the 13 original founders of the Natchez Pilgrimage.

Her past pageant participation is the Little Maypole.

 

Samuel Collins Stout

Samuel Collins Stout is the son of Guy and Lou Ellen Stout. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Stout of Monroe, La., Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Alford of Tylertown and the Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hunolt of Ocean Springs.

Stout attends kindergarten at Cathedral Elementary School. He is active in Natchez Little League Baseball, Natchez Soccer League, Parkway Baptist youth program, Children’s Prep Music Studio and Moo Sul Kwan Martial Arts. He enjoys singing, going to football games and playing with friends.

His past pageant participation is the Little Maypole.
