NATCHEZ — A Natchez woman is in stable condition after being airlifted to a Jackson hospital after an accident in which her vehicle flipped on Seargent S. Prentiss Drive Sunday afternoon.

Natchez Police Department Detective Jerry Ford said Bernice Turner, 62, was traveling on Seargent S. Prentiss Drive when a white PT Cruiser sitting at the stop sign to exit Southside Market’s parking lot bumped Turner’s car. The driver’s foot reportedly slipped off the brake causing the PT Cruiser to hit Turner’s car.

Turner’s car then reportedly fish tailed, hit the edge of the road and flipped over.
