James Joseph Fakes Sr.

VIDALIA, La. — Services for James Joseph Fakes Sr., 76, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Julius McCray officiating.
Burial will be scheduled at a later date under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Mr. Fakes was born Feb. 27, 1936, in Natchez, the son of Leon Fakes and Margaret Davis Miller.
He was a cement finisher.
Mr. Fakes was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Elvonne Fakes of Ferriday; two sons, James Fakes and wife, Nicole, of Purvis and Donnie Fakes and wife, Lisa, of Ferriday; one daughter, Doris Ellis and husband, Bernaldo, of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Ethel Thomas of Natchez; and 10 grandchildren.
