Help department help homeless vets

Published 12:01am Sunday, February 17, 2013

Help is on the way!

In the maze of what to do next, there is: study the problem, get facts, chew them up and hope for the tea leaves to give you a clue!

The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a fact-finding survey. Let’s help them!

They want to locate all the “homeless providers and organizations” that assist homeless veterans.

You can call me at the Veterans Affairs office at 601-364-7005 and ask for Lyn Landis. There is help for the homeless, but we need you to know we can assist providers as well.

This is a wake-up call reminding us of the need for a veterans home in Natchez.

ERLE DRANE, LET’S SEE CAN YOU PULL IT OFF. THIS IS SOMETHING I HERE EVERY VETERAN DAY. THIS FACT-FINDING SURVEY AS FAR AS I KNOW WAS DONE MANY MOONS AGO. THIS MUST BE A NEW ONE. TO ME, THERE’S MORE TALK DONE THEN ACTION. VETERAN HAVE PRIDE, TO MUCH TALK AND NO ACTION ONLY RUNS THEM FUTHER FROM THE SYSTEM. BUILD THE HOME IN NATCHEZ, ONCE THE WORD GET AROUND, THEY WILL START COMMING IN SLOWLY BUT SURLY. I’LL DO ALL IN MY POWER TO TALK AS MANY AS I CAN TO ENTER THAT HOME. IT’S LONG OVER DUE.
