MONROE, La. — Despite giving up six runs over five innings, Taylor Rodgers held Bastrop to just three hits and struck out nine batters as the Vidalia Lady Vikings defeated the Lady Rams 16-6 Friday afternoon at the Neville Tournament.

Vidalia gave Rodgers plenty of run support early on as the Lady Vikings scored six runs in the top of the first inning. But Bastrop rallied in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to make it a 7-6 ball game.

Leading only 8-6 after five innings of play, the Lady Vikings finally put away the Lady Rams by scoring eight runs in the top of the sixth inning.
