NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Christine Perrett Ivison Farabee, 94, of Jackson, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in Jackson, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Farabee was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Hazlehurst, the daughter of Frank James Perrett Jr. and Bessie Mae Keyes Perrett. She attended Hazlehurst High School and received her associate degree from Hinds Junior College as a licensed practical nurse.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia. In May of 1998, she moved to Brandon to be near her family members. She was fiercely proud of her two sons and dearly loved her grandchildren.

Mrs. Farabee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Calvin Farabee; two brothers, Shelby Alexander Perrett and James Francis “Todd” Perrett; and one sister, Loyce Maxine Perrett Toland.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert B. Ivison Jr. and wife, Becky, of Jackson and Joseph E. Ivison and wife, Claudette, of Edom, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kurt Derek Ivison, Joseph Brock Ivison, Andrew Bradford Ivison, William Christopher Ivison, Herbert Bernard “Trey” Ivison III, Brittany Elizabeth Allen and John Doug Allen; one great-grandchild, Nicholas Robert Mosley; one brother-in-law, Johnnie Ray Toland of Columbia; a number of nephews; and one niece.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brock Ivison, Will Ivison, Andy Ivison, Trey Ivison, Kurt Ivison and John Doug Allen.

The family wishes to thank Mrs. Farabee’s special caregivers, J.W. Clayton, LaShune Jackson, Tameiki Lee, Ruthie Flowers and Leslie Ball. We are grateful for the special attention that was given to her.
