NATCHEZ — More than 2 inches of rain Sunday and early Monday forced area schools to postpone baseball and softball games that were scheduled for Monday afternoon.

The junior varsity and varsity baseball games between Franklin County High School and Adams County Christian School at ACCS will now take place Wednesday. The JV game will be at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity game will be at 6:30 p.m.

The varsity baseball game between Vidalia High School and Block High School at Block was also postponed. Bears head coach Stevie McCarthy said the game will take place at a later date to be determined.

The Block softball team’s LHSAA District 4-1A against LaSalle High School has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. today.
