NATCHEZ — Morning rain showers and the threat of more wet weather across parts of Louisiana and Mississippi forced the cancellations of several area baseball and softball games on Friday.

Adams County Christian School’s home game against MAIS District 5-AA opponent Brookhaven Academy was rained out and has been rescheduled for Friday, April 12.

Natchez High’s MHSAA Division 6-6A game at Brandon was also postponed until a date to be determined.

Jefferson County and Franklin County’s MHSAA Region 7-3A doubleheader has been postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

Cathedral’s softball game at Loyd Star was canceled. Lady Green Wave head coach Gary Blackwell said that with both teams having a full schedule, it’s doubtful those games will be rescheduled.

NHS softball’s home game against Ridgeland was postponed. Lady Bulldogs head coach Alphaka Moore said the game will be played later in the season.
