FERRIDAY — Services for Bernard Tennessee, 69, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sixth Street Church of God in Christ in Ferriday with the Rev. Willie Ellis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Tennessee was born June 18, 1943, in Tallulah, La., the son of Mark and Latichia Bethley Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Julie Brailey.

Survivors include two sons, Derrick and Jimmy Lewis, both of Ferriday; four daughters, Bernice Slaughter and husband, Jerrell, of New Iberia, La., Marylyn Harris and husband, Barney, of Anaheim, Calif., Crystal Lewis and Shawanda Lewis, both of Ferriday; and seven grandchildren.
