BOGUE CHITTO — Rheagan Welch pitched a complete-game shutout and struck out six batters to lead the Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats to a 1-0 win over the Cathedral Lady Green Wave Monday afternoon in MHSAA Region 7-1A action.

Welch walked three batters and the defense behind committed two errors, but she limited Cathedral to just two hits — a single each by Mollie Devening and Claire Upton.

The only run of the game turned out to be an unearned run in the bottom of the first inning on a passed ball after a single and an error put the runner in scoring position.
