FERRIDAY — Services for Beatrice Carr “Miss Bea” Gage, 92, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church on Second Street in Ferriday, with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Gage was born Sept. 16, 1920, in Lettsworth, La., the daughter of Harry and Viola Robinson Carr.

Ms. Gage was a retired nurse.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Star of Love Order of Eastern Star No. 96 and a number of social clubs.

She was preceded in death by parents and two sons, Roosevelt and Joseph Platt.

Survivors include one daughter, Viola Jackson and husband, Jim, of Bronx, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and three stepsons.
