Football players to host campPublished 12:10am Monday, April 15, 2013
NATCHEZ — Former Kansas City Chiefs guard Will Shields and NFL friends will host a two-day all-metro football camp for children grades seven through 12 May 3 and 4 at Cathedral School.
The camp will be divided into three sessions, with the first session taking place between 6 to 8 p.m. May 3. Two more sessions will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. May 4. There will be a lunch break between the May 4 sessions.
Shields, a 12-time Pro Bowler who was also inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame, likes to give back to students near and far. He is the founder of the Will To Succeed Foundation, which has helped more than 100,000 individuals since its inception in 1993.
The foundation currently sponsors more than a dozen programs and initiatives, in which Shields is a hands-on participant.
The registration fee is $68, and lunch will be provided. To register for the camp, visit www.68sports.com. For more information, contact LJ by e-mail at email@example.com or by phone at 816-785-2931.
