NATCHEZ — Services for Lottie Diggs Beckem, 85, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Brother Dwight Greene officiating.

Burial will follow at Carthage Point Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Beckem was born Feb. 15, 1928, in Adams County, the daughter of Henry Bowman and Hattie Mason Bowman. She was a cook and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include eight children, Anderson Beckem, Diane Belson, both of Michigan, Barbara Elmore, Elizabeth Beckem, Alicia Beckem and Travis Beckem, all of Natchez, Alma Flowers of New Orleans and Jonathan Beckem of Houston, Texas; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends; and her devoted pet dog, Randy.
