According to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Wayan allegedly entered the Broadmoor Grocery by forcing an air-conditioner from a wall on the side of the building.

Along with allegedly stealing the air-conditioning unit, he reportedly took two cases of Budweiser beer, candy, cigarettes and a small amount of cash.

The spokesperson said ACSO deputies were able to obtain a DNA sample from the air-conditioning unit’s case and were able to identify Clark as the suspect from video surveillance footage.

Clark’s brother and the store’s owner also confirmed his identity on the video, the spokesperson said.

This is Clark’s 11th arrest since 2000.

He was released from the Mississippi Department of Corrections custody Sunday.

Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said responding deputies did good work on the case.

“Quick response and accurate recognition culminated in quick apprehension before Clark could do any more damage,” he said.
