NATCHEZ — No one was seriously injured Wednesday evening after a truck was struck by an SUV and flipped over on Lynda Lee Drive, Natchez police said.

NPD Detective Jerry Ford said Dura Lee Prater turned right out of the Zipy convenience store parking lot onto Lynda Lee Drive headed toward D’Evereux Drive.

Prater then apparently made a quick attempt to turn right onto Old Washington Road from the left lane of Lynda Lee Drive, and his 1984 Ford Truck flipped after it was struck by an SUV driven by Tamathy Dunn Franklin, who was driving in the right lane.

Prater was taken to Natchez Community Hospital and Franklin to Natchez Regional Medical Center, both with non-life-threatening injuries, Ford said.
