Spring means Crawfish Countdown

Spring has arrived, and it’s Cathedral’s Crawfish Countdown.

This weekend, Cathedral School will host the 29th Annual Crawfish Countdown. Please join us from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the school’s cafeteria and courtyard. We will be serving all the fresh, boiled crawfish with corn and potatoes you can eat, along with Pat Sanguinetti’s hot jambalaya and homemade desserts.

In addition to the mouth-watering food, there will be great music by DJ Glenn Kelley, and a draw-down for the $5,000 grand prize.

Tickets for this event are available through Cathedral School’s Development Office in advance or at the door the night of the event. The cost of each ticket is $100, which covers the ticket holder and one guest to a night of eats, drinks, music and a chance to take home some cash.

Second-chance insurance is also available for an additional $30 and must be purchased the same time as the ticket. If this is purchased, and if your name is one of the first 100 drawn, your ticket will be placed back in the drawing for one more chance of the grand prize.

There will also be a takeout option of “Crawfish and trimmings only” for $40 per person. All takeout orders can be purchased on the night of the Crawfish Countdown from 6 to 7 p.m.

Simply park in front of the elementary school, place your order and wait patiently in your car for your order to arrive.

These orders will be prepared and packaged for you at the time of your order.

So y’all grab your family and friends and join us for the 29th Annual Crawfish Countdown on Saturday.

It’s sure to be a night of fun and a great way to show your support for Cathedral. Just a polite reminder, you must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event, and you don’t have to be present to win. For tickets or questions about this event, please call or e-mail Cathedral’s Development Office at 601-445-9844 or cathedral.development@yahoo.com.

Chairing this year’s event are Sarah Beth, Jarod Welch, Brad Burget and me. We hope to see you all there! Go Greenwave!
