NATCHEZ — Services for Virginia McDonald, 93, of Natchez, who died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Watkins Street Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. McDonald was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Franklin County, the daughter of Estella Dorsey Barnes. She worked at the Snow White Cleaners as a press operator.

Mrs. McDonald served as secretary of Pleasant Green Baptist Church for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Knight; one daughter, Ellen Marie Knight; her grandmother, Elizabeth Belton Weatherspoon; her mother; stepfather, Blake Barnes; one uncle, Jessie Middleton; one aunt, Lizzie Middleton; step-grandmother, Madeline Dorsey; and friend, Willie Berry.

Survivors include one son, Vernell McDonald; two daughters, Arella M. Thomas and Rasheedah G. McDonald; one sister, Althea B. Jones; two nieces, Valarie Frazier and Jennifer Green; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two great-nephews; and a number of cousins and friends.
