SULPHUR, La. — On Thursday afternoon, Monterey’s varsity baseball team was eliminated in an LHSAA Class B bi-district round upset by the Grand Lake Hornets.

Friday afternoon, the No. 6 seed Lady Wolves softball team saw their season come to an end at the hands of the No. 3 seed Lady Hornets 10-0 in the quarterfinals of the Class B State Tournament at Frasch Park.

Monterey, the co-champion of District 4-B with Oak Hill, finished its season with an overall record of 18-11.
