Dr. and Mrs. William L. Safley of Gulfport announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Cynthia Safley, to James Lanny Sullivan, son of Robert and Rose Sullivan of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Mobile. She is employed by St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson as a registered nurse.

She is the granddaughter of Dr. Travis Richardson of Gulfport and the late Lourie Richardson. She is also the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Safley.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and is attending graduate school there for a doctorate in nurse anesthesia. He is employed by Natchez Community Hospital as a registered nurse.

He is the grandson of the late Marvin and Emma Sullivan and the late Blanchard and Mary Chevallier.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Oak Crest Mansion Inn in Pass Christian.

A reception will follow.
