051013 CharlieAnderson obitpicROXIE — Services for Charlie “Mix” “Dirtdobbler” Anderson, 67, of Roxie, who died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hidgon Baptist Church in Oldenburg near Roxie, with the Rev. Luther Bonds Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 19, 1945, the son of David Anderson and Nellie C. Anderson. He attended the Lillie Mae Bryant School and worked as a truck driver of 47 years. He was retired.

Mr. Anderson was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lottie Stampley; one son, Darrell C. Anderson; one aunt, Emma Jackson; one cousin, Mattie Jackson; and one nephew, Alvin James Caston.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 18 years, Janice Sewell Anderson; two daughters, Kimberly Anderson and fiancé, Kedrick Briggs, of Natchez and Pamela L. London and husband, Johnny, of Brookhaven; three stepsons, Antwone V. Sewell of New York, N.Y., Willie D. Johnson and Dalarren S. White, both of Natchez; two brothers, Roy Anderson of Victorville, Calif., and David Cameron of Roxie; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
