Dr. and Mrs. Lester Wayne Johnson of Rayville, La., and Dr. Deborah Johnson and Mr. Lee Bairnsfather of Lafayette, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Curry Marie Johnson, to Barry Elder Lann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Lann II of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Riverfield Academy in Rayville, a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a graduate of Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. She is employed as an attorney for the Louisiana Senate.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson of Rayville and Mrs. Irene Doucet and the late Mr. Gerald K. Doucet of Opelousas, La.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Mississippi State University School of Architecture. He is employed as an architect in New Orleans.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew N. Lann of Tupelo and Mr. and Mrs. Garvin P. Lancaster of Rienzi.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Rayne Memorial Methodist Church in New Orleans.

A reception will follow at the Roosevelt Hotel.
