Mary Lou McGehee of Houston, Texas and Jack Russell Hyatt of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Hyatt, to Jonathan Ross Peeden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Peeden of Florence, Ala.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and is currently pursuing a medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

She is the granddaughter of the late Teresa W. McGehee and James C. McGehee Jr. of Natchez and Maryann Hyatt and the late George Robert Hyatt of Columbia.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Florence High School in Florence and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he received his doctorate of pharmacy degree. He is employed by Walgreens Company in Flowood.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Fenn and the late Mary Fenn and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Peeden, all of Florence.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Heart of Pines in Brandon.

A reception will follow the ceremony. Family and friends are invited.
