NATCHEZ (AP) — The sentencing hearing has been rescheduled for a woman convicted of making thousands of dollars in false claims on tax returns.
The indictment in the case says Margret Turner made the false claims in Claiborne County in 2009. She was indicted in November of last year on 20 counts. She pleaded guilty to one count in March.
Her sentencing had been set for Tuesday, but it was rescheduled to Sept. 5 in U.S. District Court in Natchez.
