The search moved to a Lower Levee Road house at 1:27 p.m. after the officials received information that Schickel was hiding at that location.

Schickel fled from the Lower Levee Road house as officials arrived and ran on foot toward downtown Ferriday.

A CPSO lieutenant and FPD officer caught Schickel on Concordia Avenue at approximately 2 p.m.

CPSO Investigator Lt. Phillip Webber said Schickel had three warrants for his arrest from a La Paz, Ariz., law enforcement agency for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and failure to appear for misconduct with weapons.

Webber said CPSO officials were awaiting to here from VPD officials regarding which crimes Schickel would be charged with in Vidalia.

“He supposedly pistol whipped someone earlier in Vidalia and supposedly set a house on fire, but we don’t know any of that for sure yet,” Webber said.
