NATCHEZ — A fourth suspect has been charged in connection with a reported assault and robbery in April at Riverwood Manor Apartments.

Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said Richard Norman III, 20, 4 Fletcher St., was charged Sunday with aggravated assault, armed robbery, false information and disorderly conduct.

Mayfield said Norman was one of four males that reportedly jumped on a man, beat him with a pistol, then stole $600 from him and fled.

Shortly after the incident Ronnie Scott Griffin Jr., 18, 348A State Park Road, and Zentrelle Marquis Harris, 18, 309 S. Bluebird Drive, were both charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.

Norman was also charged with providing false information, Mayfield said, because he gave deputies a fake name when he was apprehended.

Norman was being held in the Adams County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
