Jessica Marie Matthews and James Ryan Rachal, both of Natchez, were married Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wylie Matthews, the late Mr. John Paul Rachal and Mrs. Scarlett Shupe Eidt, all of Natchez.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Joseph Guillot of Metairie, La., the late Mr. Luther Wylie Matthews and Mrs. Jessie McKeown Matthews of Cleveland.

Grandparents of the groom are Mr. John Donald Shupe of Natchez, the late Mrs. Sandra Jones Fulmer and the late Ms. Glenda Smith Benefield.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Dr. Patrick Doherty, organist, Donna Schaffer, soloist, and David Troutman, violinist. Scripture was read by Richard Calvin Alwood of Ferriday, Brittny Marie Laukhuff of Dallas and Victoria Blackwell Gremillion of Vidalia.

Program attendants were Kyle Matthew Guillot and Lauren Catherine Guillot, both of Metairie.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Thomas Wylie Matthews.

Mary-Margaret Alwood Edwards of Natchez was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids included Caitlin Rita Byars of New Orleans, Katie Love Cole of New York, N.Y., Sandra Rachal Davidson of Natchez, Sarah Ashmore Ketchings of Baton Rouge, Christina Clare Lenarduzzi of Memphis, Tenn., Kristen Ater Pate of Monroe, La., Mary Margaret Steckler Prescott of Zachary, La., and Adrienne Mullins Whittington of Hattiesburg.

Junior bridesmaid was KaLeigh Rachal Davidson of Natchez.

Brother of the groom, John Christian Rachal of Vidalia, was best man.

Groomsmen included Reynolds Leon Atkins III, Brandon Cole Brown, Stanley Bland Davidson, Kyle Roberts Ketchings, all of Natchez, Ruston Chase Brown of Madison, Thomas Gregory Ketchings Jr. of Hattiesburg, Walter Hogue Ketchings III of Baton Rouge, Ivan Paul Nastally of Katy, Texas, James Otis Rachal of Denton, Texas, Duran Anderson Sloan of Naples, Fla., and Landon Robinson Yarborough of Hammond, La.

Stanley Bland Davidson II of Natchez was ring bearer.

Ushers for the ceremony included Patrick Robert Biglane Jr. of Starkville and Kenneth Mac Ware of Baton Rouge.

A reception was at the Vidalia Convention Center following the ceremony.
