Bernice Mascagni Tiffee

NATCHEZ — Services for Bernice M. Tiffe, 89, of Flowery Branch, Ga., and formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 20, 2013, in Atlanta will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Tiffee was born on May 24, 1924, in Natchez, the daughter of Celio Mascagni and Genevieve Verucchi Mascagni.

Mrs. Tiffee was a homemaker and lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friends as well as surrogate mother and grandmother to many. She loved and lived her faith and was an inspiration to the many that were blessed to have known her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Samuel P. Tiffee; her parents; one daughter, Lynda Joe Tiffee, three brothers, Henry, Julius and Charles; and one sister, Josephine.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane T. Stringer and husband, Jim, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; three grandchildren, Samantha Stringer of Flowery Branch, Stacie Zaleski and husband, Kenny, of Dacula, Ga., and Dee Anna Bowbliss and husband, Mike, of Buford, Ga; five great-grandchildren, Henry and Catherine Zaleski, Anna, Lindsey and Michael Bowbliss; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include family and friends.
