062913 ClaraStarks obitpicMEADVILLE — Services for Clara Mae Hellen Williams Griffin Starks, 60, of Meadville, who died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Franklin High School Auditorium in Meadville with the Rev. Anthony Wilcher officiating.

Burial will follow at the Meadville-New Fork Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Bude and from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the church..

Mrs. Starks was born Feb. 20, 1953, in Meadville, the daughter of L.C. Williams Sr. and Jessie Mae Williams.

She was a member of the Women’s Fellowship Sisters and the Franklin County School Board Association.

Mrs. Starks was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph L. Griffin Sr.; one grandson, Kelvin L. Bateaste Jr.; four brothers; five sisters; and her father-in-law, Julius Starks Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Julius Starks Jr.; one son, Joseph L. Griffin Jr.; two daughters, Kendra Bateaste and Bridgett Griffin; two grandsons, Kentrez and Ka’Marion Bateaste; two granddaughters, Key’Azhane Bateaste and Amari Griffin; three stepsons, Reggie Perkins and wife, Kathy, Willie Reynolds and wife, Elizabeth, and Jeremy Young and wife, Rachel, and their children; two brothers, L.C. Williams Jr. and Roy Williams; one sister, Wilhelmenia Harris; one sister-in-law, Wanda Jean Starks; and a number of other relatives and friends.
