Mr. and Mrs. Clinton B. Pomeroy Sr. of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesley Allyson Pomeroy, to William Tance Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hughes of Vidalia.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is attending graduate school at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, La.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. J.Q. Lesley and the late Nell Lesley of Mantachie and Mrs. Lucy Pomeroy and the late Fred Pomeroy of Eufaula, Ala.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is employed by Southern Designs in Vidalia.

He is the grandson of Gordon and Ruby Hughes and Mrs. Louise Cater and the late Herbert Cater, all of Vidalia.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez.

A reception will follow at the Briars.
