FERRIDAY — Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Hardy Strozier, 65, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Truman Stagg officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Comer Funeral Home.

Mr. Strozier was born Feb. 25, 1948 to the union of Albert Davis Sr. and Joyce Robertson Strozier.He was a native and lifelong resident of Ferriday; he served as town clerk for the Town of Ferriday seven years, and was very active in the community. He served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Strozier was a loving father and grandfather and was an avid LSU fan. He liked to read, and had interest in boats and liked to make model ships. He will be missed by his family and all his friends.

Mr. Strozier was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Albert David Strozier Jr.

Survivors include his daughter Madelyn Strozier of Brandon; one grandson, Peyton Strozier of Brandon; the mother of his child, Betty Lou Nettles; a niece, Sarah Strozier and numerous family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Craig Brooks, Ray King, Gene Wilson, Sam Nored, Mayor Glen McGlothin and Jay DePrato.

Honorary pallbearers will be David James, Honorable Mayor Gene Allen and the town of Ferriday, the Ferriday Police Department and Smokey Joe Frank.
