LORANGER, La. — Services for Ray Lynn White, 72, of Loranger, La., who died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at his home, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Sharon Baptist Church near Loranger with Bros. Ron Ball and Darryl Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chappapeela Baptist Church Cemetery near Amite, La., under the direction of Crain Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at New Sharon Baptist Church.

Mr. White was formerly a self-employed carpenter who loved fishing and hunting.  He was a member of New Sharon Baptist Church and previously was an active member of Chappapeela Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and led the singing.

He was preceded in death by his parents;one sister, Sue White; and one brother, Ralph White.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruth Vining White of Loranger; three sons, Heath White and wife, Tiffany, of North Carolina, Eric White and wife, Charity, of Walker, La., and Curtis White and wife, Julie, of Loranger; one daughter Debbie Mount and husband, Freddy, of Monterey, La.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Cortez of Metairie, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
