CHICAGO — Services for Elizabeth “Bear” Hollins Washington, 76, of Chicago, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, were Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at New Cannon Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago.

Arrangements were under the direction of Keith McGee Funeral Services in Chicago.

Mrs. Washington was born Dec. 11, 1936, the daughter of Robert Hollins and Mary Tibbs Hollins. She confessed Christ at an early age at Bright Star Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Washington; her parents; one son, Robert Washington; and one brother, Robert Hollins Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Ella and Forrestine Washington, both of Chicago; two sons, Clarence Washington of Atlanta and James Washington of Chicago; one sister, Mary H. Kelly of Natchez; 18 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
