NATCHEZ — Services for George Lee Brooks, 88, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater New Zion Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Brooks was born June 25, 1925, in Wilkinson County, the son of Monroe and Irene Scott Brooks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Harry Brooks; one granddaughter, Marquezeyon Gbye; and his sisters and brothers.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Rosie Lee Williams Brooks; five daughters, Mary King and husband, Issac, Daisy Bates and husband, John, Josie Bates and husband, Freddie, Sarah Morris and Doris Gbye; three sons, Henry Brooks and wife, Gwendolyn, George Brooks and wife, Pamela, and Marcellus Brooks; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
