ERWINVILLE, La. — Graveside services for Johnnie William “John” Sutterfield, 93, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Erwinville Cemetery in Erwinville, La.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life at 6 p.m.

Mr. Sutterfield was born April 18, 1920, in Gravely, Ark., the son of George and Letha Sutterfield.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jasper, Loyd, Duie and Bently.

The family thanks the ICU nurses and staff at Riverland Hospital for the care they provided. Special thanks to Ms. Christa with Intensive Home Health Care and Ms. Brenda, both of who, he always spoke highly of and looked forward to their visits.
