FERRIDAY — Services for Tamara LaDean “Deannie” McDaniel, 57, who died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pentecostals of the Miss Lou in Ferriday with the Rev. Gary Howington of Ferriday and the Rev. Dwayne Butler of St. Joseph officiating.

Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.

Mrs. McDaniel was born Dec. 12, 1955, in Ferriday, the daughter of Harvey A. and Della I. Darnell Hopkins.

Deannie was loved by all who knew her. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.

She was a member of Pentecostals of the Miss Lou where she taught Sunday school for beginners. She was a kind gentle person that showed her Christian faith in her journey of life that short time she was here on this earth.

Mrs. McDaniel worked for Tensas State Bank for 20 years.

Our hearts are broken today and she will be missed by her family; her friends; her co-workers; and all people that knew her and people that did not know her but that are grieving for her and her family.

Deannie was preceded in death by her mother; one sister, Sue Shearer; and father-in-law, Clinton “Little Bud” McDaniel.

Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Ronald “Ronnie” McDaniel; one son, Roderick “Rod” McDaniel and wife, Laura Johnson McDaniel; two grandchildren, Macy and Braxton McDaniel of Brookhaven; her father of Waterproof; mother-in-law, Joan McDaniel; five sisters, Joan Raley of Enterprise, Ala., Sheryl Abernathy and husband, Johnny, of Mendenhall, Nelda Rabb and husband, Raymond, of Waterproof, Pam Norwood and husband, David, of St. Joseph and Karen Owens and husband, George, of New Hebron; three brothers, Phillip Hopkins and wife, Catherine, of Mendenhall, J.E. Hopkins and wife, Wanda, of Waterproof and Laney Hopkins and wife, Annette , of Mendenhall; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Wynn Blanche, Ricky Jones, Hunter Norwood, Cole Weathersby, Alex Hopkins,, Patrick Kelly, Darcell Head and Robert Pearson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Abernathy, Mike Jones, Rusty Russell, Jeff Lee, David Lee, Tim Gregory, Matt Merritt, Tommy Robin, Matt Robin, Bubba McDaniel, Gary Smith, James Arcenot, Doug Sloane, J.C. Clower, Tra Goldman, Taylor Grayson, Terry Mize, Barry Jankins, H.C. Lewis, Kenny House, Donnie Parker, Donavan Wiley, Barry Sharp, Jerry Sharp, John Rhodes; Jimmy Rhodes, Billy Fletcher and Ronnie Swayze.
