FERRIDAY — Services for Julia L. Gerbish, 87, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Camelot Leisure Living in Vidalia, will be at 10 a.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Don Tate and the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Ms. Gerbish was a resident of Vidalia for 61 years and a member of Vidalia Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother; and one brother, James Payne.

Survivors include one daughter, Francis Crooks and husband, Ellis, of Vidalia; two granddaughters, Janice Dunaway and husband, Malcolm, of Vicksburg and Shannon Roberts and husband, Troy, of West Monroe, La.; three great-grandchildren, Emily McGehee and husband, Gray, and Erin Dunaway, all of Vicksburg, and Jeremy Roberts of West Monroe; one brother, Malcolm Payne of Gainesville, Ga.; and one sister, Carolyn Rutherford of Dripping Springs, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Malcolm Dunaway, Gray McGehee, Jimmy Fuqua, Carl Fuqua, Chuck Fuqua and Vernon Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Vidalia Church of Christ.
