Mr. and Mrs. Jerry David of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanna Leigh David, to Alexander Martin Harrelson, son of Mr. Martin Harrelson of Madison and Ms. Melanie Harrelson of Tupelo.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Engineering School in Oxford. She is employed by ExxonMobil in Baton Rouge.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry David and the late Mrs. Barbara David of Vidalia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sturdivant of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Tupelo High School and is also a graduate of the University of Mississippi Engineering School in Oxford. He is employed by GRSA Consultants and Engineers in Baton Rouge.

He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Gayle Alexander of Tupelo.

The wedding will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Mary Basilica in Natchez.

A reception will follow at Twin Oaks.
