NATCHEZ — Services for Mark S. Porter, 54, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Holland officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Thursday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Porter was born Feb. 11, 1959, in Jackson, the son of Millard Porter and Bobbye Martin Porter.

He was a sales and service distributor for Southwest Distributors Inc.

Mr. Porter was preceded in death his father; one sister, Vicky Dunigan; and maternal grandparents, F.M. Martin and Nellie Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Porter; two sons, Steven and Andrew Porter, both of Natchez; his mother of Natchez; two sisters, Toni Doyle of Hattiesburg and Karla Porter of Vicksburg; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Mingee, Terry Martin, Phil Jordan, Robin Blake, Matthew Moore and Tim Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Martin and the Adams County Christian School varsity and junior varsity football teams.
