MEADVILLE — Services for Genevieve Good Dawson, 85, of Gloster, who died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. today at Praise Cathedral Church of God in Meadville with the Rev. Lee Miley officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Dawson was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Crosby, the daughter of Ed and Mary Berryhill Good.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene P. “Boy” Dawson; and seven siblings, Mildred Smith, Mary Ann Day, Hazel Hatfield, Gertrude Good, Odis Good, Gene Good and Eddie Good.

Survivors include two daughters, Tangie Dawson of Gloster and Karen Jones and husband, Tony, of Meadville; two sons, Anthony “Tony” Dawson and wife, Betty, of Natchez and Kent Dawson and wife, Becky, of McCall Creek; five grandchildren, Nikki White and husband, Billy, Kendra Smith and husband, Toler, Tonya Dawson, Brandi Cummings and husband, Jason, and Trisca Grimes; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Good of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Toler Smith, Jason Cummings, Bryce White, Jared Brownell, Jeremy Holland and Heath Emfinger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brady Cummings, Blake Smith and Billy Turner.
