ST. JOSEPH — Services for Shaun Hartley, 31, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Waterproof, who died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, in Baton Rouge, will be Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in St. Joseph with Rev. Adrian London officiating.

Burial will follow at Panola Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mr. Hartley was born Aug. 29, 1982 in New Orleans, the son of Marshall Hartley Sr. and Mary Bates Hartley.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Marshall Hartley Jr.

Survivors include his father of Waterproof; one brother, Anthony Hartley of New Orleans; four sisters, Leshaun L. Hartley and Regina Hartley of Natchez; Dalisha Hartley of Waterproof and Carolyn Hartley of Monroe, La.; maternal grandparents, Vecy and Louise Roach Bates of St. Joseph; paternal grandmother, Heneritta Hartley of Chicago, ten aunts, Bobbie Bates and Brenda Bates of Baton Rouge; Cassandra Bates Lang of Gonzales, La., Juanita Bates Washington of Atlanta, Diane Bates of Cypress, Texas, Katy Mae Bates of Newellton, Marie Hartley, Loubertha Hartley, Pearl Hartley, and Henretta Hartley all of Chicago; ten uncles, Vecy Bates Jr., Ivory Hartley, Alex Hartley all of New Orleans, Dennis Bates of Gonzales, John Bates and Eugene Bates of St. Joseph, Charles Bates of Baton Rouge, David Hartley, John Hartley and Aaron Hartley all of Chicago and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
