NATCHEZ — Wet weather overnight and more forecast again this morning forced organizers to postpone today’s annual Bark in the Park event.

The event has been rescheduled for Oct. 5, at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians, organizer Deanne Tanksley confirmed early Saturday.

As an outdoor event, the grounds were simply too soaked for the event to go on as scheduled.

Bark in the Park is the largest fundraiser for the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.
