Court Cases

Thursday, Sept. 5:

Darryll Lee Gunter pleaded guilty to embezzlement in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. After serving five years of said sentence, the remaining balance is suspended and the defendant is placed on five years formal post release supervision, which shall be supervised by MDOC. The defendant must enroll in and successfully complete the long-term alcohol and drug treatment program. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Upon release from the MDOC, the defendant must pay all court costs and the prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk.

Richard Kane Vickers pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling (Count 2) in Sanders’ court. Sentenced to 10 years in the MDOC. The defendant must also enter into and successfully complete the long-term alcohol and drug treatment program. Upon release from the MDOC, the defendant must pay all court costs, a prosecution fee of $200 and restitution of $545 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Count 1, burglary of an automobile, is dismissed.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Sept. 13:

Terrance Vontrell Brown, 26, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Athena N. Floyd, 36, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 19 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve 11 days in jail, credit for eight days served. Fine set at $573.

Kimberly Keairra Myles, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493.

Tyonna R. Davis, 27, charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case dismissed.

Donderic M. Minor, 34, charged with destruction of public property — church building/cemetery. Case dismissed.

Ethan Sanders, 21, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

Thomas Wayne Thompson, 21, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $493. Thompson also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Case remanded to files.

Jimmy Beverly pleaded guilty to shoplifting — second offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 51 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve nine days in jail. Fine set at $673.

Monday, Sept. 16:

Leon Jones, 32, charged with simple assault/domestic violence — second offense. Case remanded to files — victim not served or present.

Heather Lacrosse-Kelly, 23, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $518.
