NATCHEZ — The team of Jeff Anderson, Kevin Smith Jr., Tee Cotten and Tom Bryant finished with a round of 19-under-par 53 to win the 2013 Cathedral Fall Festival Golf Tournament Thursday afternoon at Beau Pré Country Club.

The winning team had an eagle on the par-5 18th hole, its second hole of the round, to go with 17 birdies and ended up with a two-shot victory.

“We were 245 yards away on 18 and Tee knocked it to 18 feet in the middle of the green. Tee lipped out the eagle putt and Kevin made it,” Anderson said. “We played solid all day. We missed a couple of eagle opportunities. Most of the par-4s, we knocked it from 100 yards in.

“We had a good round. It was a team effort,” Henry Farmer said. “We made a lot of putts. The course is in good shape. It was a lot of fun.”

Third place went to the team of Jake, Wes and Fred Middleton and Jay “Bubba Long” Massey at 15-under-par 57. They finished with 15 birdies and three pars.

“We had a good time. We brother-in-lawed well. Putting really helped us on our score,” Wes Middleton said.
