Robert E. “Bob” McCune

NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Robert E. “Bob” McCune, 77, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at his residence, will be at a later date.

Mr. McCune was born June 9, 1936, in Pinckneyville, Ill., the son of Elza Lawrence McCune and Opal Lorraine Jones McCune. He was a 20-year veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and completing two tours of Vietnam. He was also a shriner and a mason. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda McCune, and a sister, Mildred Feltmeyer.

Survivors include one son, Jack McCune and wife, Sandy, of DeQuoin, Ill.; two daughters, Susan Miller and husband, Brent, of Baton Rouge, and Darlene Gilbert and husband, Casey, of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Joshua McCune and wife, Elizabeth, of DuBois, Ill., Jeremiah Ruff and wife, Amanda, of Deerpark, Wash., and Sabra McCune of Edwardsville, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Ruff of Rockwall, Texas, Elise Ruff and Scott Ruff, both of Deerpark; three sisters, Helen Bleisch of Okawville, Ill., Phyllis Coziar of Humble, Texas, and Virginia Harneteaux of Glen Carbon, Ill.; and a special friend, Gwen Page.
