CRANFIELD — Funeral services for Rockey Wayne “Rock” Nations Jr., 37, of Roxie, who died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cranfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Dunn officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church and from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Nations was born July 7, 1976, in Natchez, the son of Rockey Wayne Sr. and Geneva Hedgepeth Nations. Rockey loved everyone he came in contact with, he was an awesome Nintendo player, he loved Ole Miss and Santa Claus.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilda Mae Nations Jackson, Carol Nations and Ruth Nations, Zelma Lee Hedgepeth and Toxie Hedgepeth.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Cindy McDaniel and husband, Mac, and Rhonda McElroy and husband, Henry; four uncles, Jerry B. Nations and wife, Diane, Bobby Nations and wife, Carmel, James Hedgepeth and wife, Lily, and Carl Hedgepeth; one niece, Anna McDaniel; four nephews, Justin McElroy and wife, Tiffany, Josh McElroy, Jordan McElroy and wife, Kalyn, and Devin McDaniel; and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Nations, Justin McElroy, Jordan McElroy, George Smith, Mac McDaniel and Devin McDaniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry McElroy, his special brother, Josh McElroy, Jerry Nations and all his cousins.
