Treasure hunting awaits at yard sale

It’s picking time with the members of the Natchez Garden Club. Hopefully, you will be able to find several treasures to bring back to life in your own homes.

On Saturday, tables and booths will be lined up on the front lawn of Magnolia Hall for the 2nd Annual Yard Sale. Starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m., this daylong event it sure to be a treat for all of those garage sale junkies in town.

Last year’s event was such a success that the times have been extended to make this an all-day event in downtown Natchez.

If you have been cleaning out your musty attic, busting-open closets or jam-packed basements and have nowhere to store your things anymore, maybe you are ready to part with a few of these items and need a venue to do so. Luckily, the sale still has booth and table space available for you to rent for the day.

This is the perfect way for you to clear out your home with the holidays coming up fast and make a buck or two on the side.

If you are interested in renting a space at this year’s sale, call Elizabeth Swalm at 601-446-5833 or 601-304-0046 or the Garden Club office at 601-443-9065 for more information.

The cost is $25 per area and $10 for a table to be provided in your space.

Be sure to come out and sift through another person’s trash this coming Saturday morning. You never know what treasure may be waiting for you to rescue it and help it find a new home.

As always, be sure to check our Facebook page, Twitter account, and website — natchezgardenclub.org — the day of the event for more information, photos and possible deals. Happy picking!
