NATCHEZ — Adams County Christian School’s trio of Skylar Adams, Tory Laird and Ashleigh Williams combined to score more points than Central Private School had as a team in leading the host Lady Rebels to a 61-31 win over the visiting Lady Rebels Thursday night at the ACCS Girls’ Tip-Off Tournament.

Adams led ACCS with a game-high 16 points, followed by Laird with 12 points and Williams with 11 points. And its defense gave Central Private all sorts of trouble in the first half.

The first quarter ended with ACCS enjoying an 18-4 lead. And it didn’t get any better for Central Private in the second quarter as the host Lady Rebels outscored the visiting Lady Rebels from Baker, La., 15-4 for a commanding 33-8 halftime lead.
