NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Loraine B. Havard, 87, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Promise Hospital of the Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be noon Monday at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Havard was born Sept. 7, 1926, the daughter of Sebastian Bass and Carrie Bell Harvey Brown. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Havard was employed by JCPenny’s for 28 years. She was a member of the Wild Buck Hunting Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Havard Sr.; one grandson, Walter Lee Havard III; three brothers, Willie Brown, Buck Brown and Lavern Brown, and one sister, Sarah Forbes.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Havard Jr. and wife Cheryl and Joe Havard and wife Jeanette, all of Natchez; four grandchildren, Lori Austin and husband, Carter, Randy Havard and wife, Nell, of Wisconsin, Edith Spencer and husband, William, of Pensacola, Fla., and Stephanie Henslee and husband Brent of Lewistown, Mont.; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Brown and wife, Marian, of Yazoo City and Allen Brown and wife, Margaret, of Lake St. John; two sisters, Louise Brashier and husband, Barney, of Ferriday and Sharon Ledbetter and husband, Randall, of Iuka.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Havard, Andy Yates, Carter Austin, Glenn Mizell, Randy Havard and Eddie Havard.
