Holiday meal preparation satisfies soul

On Nov. 27, Damien Strauder, Stephanie Reynolds, myself and the Essence of the Gospel Youth Choir all joined in together to give back to the Natchez community.

Stephanie Reynolds and I wanted to enroll the youth choir in this year’s Feeding the Senior Citizens and others with a full course Thanksgiving meal.

We wanted the kids to experience what it means to reach out and help someone who may not be able to help themselves.

We were able to distribute 300 meals throughout the community. It is a good feeling to see the smiles on people’s faces when giving them their meals.

They appreciate it so much. Some people don’t have anyone to do anything for them.

So, as long as God gives me the breath of life, I will continue to do all I can to reach out and help someone in need.

I want to thank all the businesses, churches and individuals for the donations that you gave in order for this endeavor to be a success.

And, Special Thanks to Antioch Baptist Church for donating their kitchen to prepare the meals. From now till next year, may God bless all of you.”
